I mentioned before that my healthy eating and exercise plan in preparation for Miss USA just kicked off last week, so this means lots of meal prep and lots of gym visits. I won’t lie — I love a good meal and I’m not a gym rat by nature, so the struggle is real for me! I personally think that the more meals you prepare in advance and the more you stock your gym bag with goodies, the easier it is to stick with your plan and reach your goals.
Enter Instapressed. This Kakaako-based juice company has changed the way I go about my day with fresh, raw, local cold-pressed juices. I usually have one a day, sometimes in the morning or sometimes post-workout in which I pack it in my gym bag as a sweet treat for later. Green Aloha is one of my favorite flavors because it’s not only delicious but feels like I got my daily dose of greens. For order and pickup information, visit their website. Best of all? Free convenient parking in front so you don’t have to circle for a street spot. Happy Juicing! Scroll down for more of my gym bag musts…lots in the picture above are self explanatory, but I’m giving more details on a few.
Hydroflask — I seriously think these things have magic powers. I leave mine in the car for hours and somehow my water is still cold! I’ve been borrowing Holden’s for weeks so I was so happy when my pageant director got me a very special one for my birthday.
Quest Bars — I eat at least one of these a day since they are approved by my trainer. Tons of protein, low net carbs and sugar. Another reason I eat them? They are freakin’ delicious…my favorite flavor is chocolate chip cookie dough.
Neutrogena Makeup Wipes — I’ve yet to find a makeup wipe that trumps this one, and I’ve tried many. I always use after a workout to cleanse my skin and remove and impurities.
Arbonne New Cell Scrub — For when I want to exfoliate, this is my go-to because it has just enough grit to take off any dead skin, and not too much to make you feel like you just scrubbed your face off.
