Before I left New York to come home to Hawaii for the summer, I spent my last few days enjoying the warmer weather and trying to check off as many things on my NYC to-do list before saying goodbye to the city for a couple months. A couple things I did? Check out the new Manus x Machina exhibit at The Met, see The King and I on Broadway, try out a couple new restaurants (Gotham in Union Square was amazing!) and take on a couple neighborhoods by foot. Being in the workforce the past three years, I forgot how amazing it is to once again have a summer break — no deadlines, no work emails, nothing. Just time to relax…and unwind…and explore. I’m now back in Hawaii and have started a new marketing internship, but more on that later.
I don’t usually play by any fashion rules, but I’ve been waiting to wear this skirt for a couple months now until wearing all white felt just right. I love that it has structure and volume, and moves beautifully as you walk — a statement piece for sure. And speaking of movement, I will totally admit that I full-on tripped while trying to twirl just so I could get the right shot. Cobble stone streets and heels are no easy feat, that’s for sure.
