After months of bundling up for the chilly New York City winter, the Summer is when I feel like I truly get to express my sense of style. Whether I’m putting together my weekend wardrobe or planning a chic office moment, I’m all about looking great without breaking the bank. Enter Saks OFF 5th.
If you’re new to Saks OFF 5th, they have stores across the country that offer a variety of brand name fashions at great discounts. My favorite part about shopping there is that you get the amazing quality and style, you just don’t have to pay a high sticker price. In fact, all of the items in the looks below were $100 or less after discounts. What do I mean by discounts? On the Saks OFF 5th website, they’ll often have sales where you can save even more off the listed retail price. Score!
Dressing For: A Weekend Getaway
Weekend getaways outside the hustle and bustle of New York City mean two full days of relaxation and keeping it casual. Since we’re experiencing quite the heatwave, this sheer blue top is lightweight but still packs a punch with its chic choker detail and these shorts keep the look flirty and fun.

Dressing For: A Rooftop Party
I never understood the full glory of a rooftop party until I moved to New York City, and I can safely say I’m now addicted. In fact, I’ve yet to turn one down. They can be anything from a casual daytime barbeque with friends to a chic night under the stars. I was recently invited to a white party for my friends’ fifth anniversary on their rooftop in Brooklyn, and this dress was perfect for the occasion.

Dressing For: Date Night
Whether you’re going on a first date or out on the town with your longtime love, a new outfit for date night will always have you feeling your best. I picked out these Tibi shorts (yes, they’re shorts!) because the pink metallic color was to die for in person and since they show lots of leg, I went for a top that was slightly more buttoned up to balance out the look. And in case you were wondering, these Halston Heritage are now officially my ‘date night’ heels since every girl needs the perfect pair of strappy black sandals in their rotation.

Dressing For: Summer Workwear
Dressing for the office when the temperatures are scorching can often prove to be quite the challenge, but here’s one outfit made to withstand the heat. When it comes to Summer officewear, I like to ditch my usual all-black apparel and trade for something lighter and brighter, like this asymmetrical skirt from Tibi. The closed-toe pumps make this perfect for work while the tank top keeps you cool. For more formal office environments, you can easily pop on a white blazer to finish off the look.
