When I was packing to move to New York City, I decided that I would keep it to a bare minimum and only take necessities (I only took four check-in bags, which I consider to be light packing). I would surely be back sooner than later and lugging all of my belongings across the country just to bring it back in a couple years felt like a waste. Well, it turns out that in thinking about all the items I would need to survive winter, I neglected to bring summer clothes that would get me through some sweltering days. I decided to pick up just a couple of lightweight and easy summer dresses and this one really pulled through this weekend. The black color and floral print allow the dress to work for day or night, and a I threw on a leather jacket which made the otherwise girly cut a little more edgy. Check out some of my other favorite summer dresses at the end of the post!
