Looking stylish as a grad student is a pretty tall order. Between midterms, final papers and what seems like nightly networking events, it’s hard enough to ditch the sweats never mind actually looking stylish. Pretty much the only thing keeping my academic attire on point are the whole athleisure trend and this Senreve bag that I take to class every day. It’s convertible and I wear it a few different ways: over the shoulder, as a backpack, crossbody and just holding it by the top handle.
The Maestra bag also gets tons of extra points in my book for being water-resistant and having feet on the bottom of the bag which keeps the beautiful blush leather pristine for so much longer. Dealing with the unpredictable weather in NYC is hard enough — I’ve been caught in way too many unexpected rainstorms to count — so this bag has solved so many of my life problems! Oh and did I mention it has a compartment built inside the bag to hold my MacBook? I no longer need to put my big foam laptop sleeve inside another bag which is a total space saver.
The brand was actually co-founded by one of my dear friends Wendy and inspired by powerful female professionals in need of bags that are beautiful and feminine, but also versatile enough to keep up with their busy lives. If you’re on the hunt for a beautiful new bag, be sure to check out the Senreve line!
