It’s no secret that I love all things makeup and beauty. So when two of my favorite beauty brands collab, I’m pretty much in cosmetics heaven. The latest collab happens to be with Glossybox — an online subscription service for beauty addicts — and Rituals — a luxurious line of home and body cosmetics. They combined their beauty powers to create a limited edition box filled with five full-sized products from Rituals’ Rituals of Sakura line. OH and I saved the best for last…the box is $25 for Glossybox subscribers and $30 for non-subscribers, meaning you get $84 worth of goodies for a third of the price.
The reason I wanted to post this on my blog is because it’s a great deal if you love pampering yourself and are in the market for some new goodies at a great price or a gift idea for a sister, friend, mother’s day, whatever. If you’re like ‘Emma I seriously can’t even finish the creams and lotions I have in my cabinet from two years ago’ say no more, I can totally relate. If you are interested, read on to hear what I think of each product in the box!
Here’s what I got in the box:
Ritual of Sakura Showering Oil – OK I’ll admit when I opened this, I had not one clue what showering oil was. The oil actually becomes a foam when it comes into contact with water and it left my skin really moisturized which was great during these dry winter months. It’s actually made to reduce pigment low in the shower meaning it’ll prolong your tan. Yay!
Ritual of Sakura Body Cream – This was definitely my favorite product in the box. I’m always skeptical when it comes to hand lotions because I can’t take it when body creams or butters leave you feeling greasy afterward. There’s something about it that makes me want to wash my hands afterward! Not with this stuff. And did I mention it smells amazing?
Ritual of Sakura Bed & Body – This is a fragrance you can spray on your body, bed sheets and around the home. I also tried spraying it into my washing machine to give my clothes the scent and it worked like a charm.
Ritual of Sakura Shower Scrub – Since I put on a faux tan pretty often for my blog photos, I tend not to use shower scrubs too much, but I made an exception because I wanted to give this box a full review. I loved that it wasn’t too harsh or grainy so it just gave you that glowing skin look.
Gingko’s Secret Hand Balm – In NYC, I have about 5 hand lotions that I leave around the apartment (on my nightstand, coffee table, bathroom) and in various purses so I pretty much have one everywhere I go. Otherwise, I can’t find it and forget to put it on and then my hands are just a dry mess after a few days. This one smells a little different from the rest of the products — think fresh and natural like you’re at the spa. Definitely added this one to the rotation.
