Is it just me, or is blush pink the new neutral? Just like any perfect neutral should be, the color can pair with almost anything, but it’s so sweet and romantic at the same time. When I first saw this dress at Zara I was crushing hard, but I was worried I didn’t have any events coming up to wear it to. Then when I went ahead and bought it, I discovered it paired just as perfectly with a casual denim jacket as it did with a pair of black pumps. Dresses that are versatile are by far my favorite kind!
You guys! Tomorrow is the women’s conference I was talking about earlier this week and I am full-blown nervous. It’s taking me back to my pageant days when I would get on stage for ‘The Final Question’ and barely be able to breathe and sweating even though it was about 60 degrees in that hotel ballroom. I would tell people how nervous I got and people would ask, “why do you do pageants if you don’t like being on stage?” A totally valid question. I always did them because they took me out of my comfort zone, and only when you get out of your comfort zone can you actually learn and grow. Even during the times when I “failed” in pageantry like not placing at the Miss Teen USA pageant or not taking home the crown the first time I ran in Miss Hawaii USA, it only made me stronger, better, and ten times more mentally tough. In that vein, the title of my talk tomorrow will be “Failing Forward” and even though I’m nervous, I know that even this experience will be one I can grow from as a speaker.
