When I was little, one thing I got into the habit of doing was picking out my outfits the night before and laying them out all ready to be thrown on before I dashed out the door the next day. It’s not something I do religiously anymore, but something I want to get back into the habit of once I’m out of grad school and back in the workforce. I did it with the look above and it was perfect for this week, especially because I’ve been fighting a bad cold and thinking about what outfit to wear is the last thing on my mind.
I remember it saving me lots of time in the morning, and I hope this is helpful to you too if you’re interested in outfit prepping (think of it like meal prepping…but for your clothes!). Here are some tips:
-Hang your pieces on the same hanger, including accessories (you can hang necklaces right on the hanger and put bracelets, rings and earrings in a little baggie like this)
-You can even incorporate an outfit rack like this into your decor to keep yourself organized
-Try everything on together in advance to avoid any last-minute surprises and changes
-Print out some days-of-the-week closet hangers like these from makelifelovely.com to keep yourself right on track. Are they made for kids? Yep. Do they work for adults too? You bet.
