If you asked me a few years ago what they key to gorgeous, glowing skin was, I would probably have told you an amazing foundation. Now, I’ve realized that you can get the holiest of holy grail foundations but that the key to an amazing complexion starts with taking great care of your skin. I’ve dealt with mild acne for years and at times even needed to resort to prescription medications for it, but I’m in a groove right now with some great skincare products and wanted to share with you my updated routine. If you’ve been following my blog for a while you know that I do like to switch things up every now and then (I’m all about trying new things), but here’s what I’m loving now.
The TATCHA skincare line is inspired by Japanese geisha and their skin care philosophy and ingredients were captured in an ancient text widely considered to be the oldest beauty book written in Japan. If you’re new to the TATCHA brand, I’d recommend starting with the sampler kit which comes with their one step camellia cleansing oil, rice enzyme powder, deep brightening serum, and moisture rich silk cream, plus a care to tell you the order of each step. When I first put all of the products on my hand, I could just feel the quality. Now having used the products for three weeks, I’m completely loving what I see and my skin feels more supple than it’s ever been. I use these products morning and night and wwo times per week, after I use the cleansing oil and rice enzyme powder, I still exfoliate with my holy grail exfoliator The Cure, then follow up with the brightening serum and silk cream (which is amazing for nighttime because it’s thick and really absorbs into the skin–if you’ve ever used a moisturizer that just sits on top of your skin but doesn’t feel like it’s penetrating the surface, then you know what I mean!). The brand also makes blotting papers called aburatorigami, which you know I’m really into and just featured in my top 12 makeup and beauty items post. If you’re interested in picking these items up right away, they can be found in most Sephora stores.
While these products were sent to me by TATCHA, I’ve been gifted lots of skincare products and the ones I don’t like, I simply don’t feature on my blog so you can always be sure I’m giving my honest opinions.
^^blotting papers as featured in my top 12 favorite makeup and beauty items. AMAZING.
