Each year around this time, I start getting this feeling like I want to get rid of the things in my closet I just don’t find myself reaching for anymore. Maybe it’s because I know I’ll be getting a few new goodies for Christmas, or maybe it’s because it just feels so good to start of a new year with a clean closet. My mom and I have both been reading this book about the art of decluttering called The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up and in it the author says to thank items for their service and just toss them already (she says it much more eloquently than I just did, but you get it). It’s really helped me not to revert back to my hoarding tendencies and I highly recommend it!
Moving forward, I’m getting more selective with what I buy and I love when I find a unique piece like this Zara top. I know that it’ll be perfect for the holiday season and can serve triple duty since I’m already envisioning it worn with casual jeans like the look above, mini skirts, and black flared pants. Best of all? It’s less than $50.
