After living in New York for a year and a half now, I can finally say I made it out to The Hamptons. So many friends have been raving about it for so long, but for some reason I could never find the right weekend to make the journey (and for this Hawaii girl, a 2.5 hour drive is basically a road trip). My mom was in town this past weekend so we decided to rent a car and head out. Since it was just the two of us we decided on getting a hotel and found the cutest spot called Baron’s Cove in Sag Harbor. It was quaint and cozy and we loved being so close to the historic Sag Harbor town. The next day, we decided to drive around to all the different towns — Southampton, Bridgehampton, Water Mill — and see what all the hype is about. Needless to say it didn’t disappoint. All of the historic homes made my jaw drop and I kept telling my mom that I’d move there tomorrow. To cap it off we ate lunch at a nice French restaurant in Southhampton, shopped at Kyle by Alene Too (any RHOBH fans here?!), grabbed an ice cream sandwich at the famous Tate’s Bake Shop and settled in for the long drive home.
