When I got back from Hawaii I had a ton of boxes waiting for me at my NYC apartment and opening them felt like Christmas morning all over again! Getting subscription boxes is so much fun for two reasons — everything inside is a surprise, and you get way more value than you’re paying for. Is there anything better? Since there are so many different subscription services out there these days, I thought I’d share with you some of the ones I subscribe to personally, my honest mini reviews on them, and any promo codes I can share.
FabFitFun (Spring 2016 box pictured above)
FabFitFun is a service that delivers boxes filled with beauty and fitness full-size products. After you subscribe, you get the boxes four times per year and pay $49.99 for more than $200 worth of goodies. For me, the best part of this subscription service is that it only comes four times per year. With the monthly services, sometimes I feel like it’s too frequent and I can barely go through the hand creams and bath bombs quick enough before the next box comes. Plus, with FabFitFun, the products are suited to each box — Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter — and they’re also known for giving gift cards (this box we got a $25 gift card to 31Bits and a $30 gift card to Sterling Forever). The Spring 2016 box also included a kitchen herb garden DIY kit by Makers Kit, an 18k gold-plated necklace from Jook and Nona, the ISH Contour Kit, Bodipure Keratin gloves and socks, hair styling elixir by Marrakesh Haircare, lotion by HelloLegs, the Mat Strap Plus by Merrithew, and three full-size bath bombs by Jus D’amour.

BOXYCHARM (March 2016 box pictured above)
It’s rare that I don’t have a huge smile on my face after opening my monthly BOXYCHARM box. You pay $21 for more than $100 worth of goodies and I’m obsessed with this service! Each month has a different theme and a card telling you the retail price of each product, which are usually full-size or a premium sample size. I will admit that each month there is always one, maybe two products that I’m not crazy about, but I’m okay with it since you’re getting the items at such a deep discount and there are usually 3-4 that I love and can’t wait to try. After researching TONS of makeup-based subscription boxes, this is my absolute favorite.
Rocksbox is a jewelry subscription service that’s basically like Netflix for jewelry. Upon signup you will enter your jewelry preferences and wishlist, then wait for your first box to arrive in the mail filled with 3 goodies chosen for you by a jewelry stylist. When you’re done wearing them, you simply send it back in the prepaid box and they’ll ship you another box! If you love your pieces, you can also purchase them to keep and you’ll get a major discount..score. My favorite part is that you can give feedback after you send in your box, so your boxes will just keep getting better and better.

Graze is a snack delivery service where you rate their vast snack selection, they hand-pick a box for you based on your preferences, and ship it free to your home or work. I received a coupon code from a friend, and decided to try it out since my first box would be totally free. If I’m being 100% honest, I’m a really picky snacker and I’m not a huge fan of nuts, so with Graze, I started off with the regular boxes and soon realized that I only really the flapjacks (which are basically like delicious chewy granola bars). I also didn’t like that I couldn’t pick out exactly which snacks I wanted that week. Then I realized I could order specific flapjack boxes and my problem was solved. If you’re not a very picky snacker, I’d recommend this service.

Dear Hello Fresh, thank you for making my life so much easier! I’m not kidding when I say I can’t cook. I’m a hot mess at the grocery store because I just can’t think of any ideas for what to make, and even when I have my game plan mapped out I’ve known to burn things because I simply don’t know my way around the kitchen. Thanks to Hello Fresh, I’ve significantly stepped up my game. When you sign up, you can immediately take a look at the weekly menu and decide if you want a delivery that week. I’m signed up for the 3 meals per week for two people, meaning I get six meals since I just cook for one. Besides salt and pepper, they send you every ingredient you need, plus a detailed recipe with pictures so you really can’t go wrong. I honestly feel like even if I stopped ordering Hello Fresh one day, I’ll have learned so much about how to cook and have so much meal inspiration for years to come. The only con to this service is that some weeks I’m just not feeling the menu, but that’s when I press pause and usually by the next week there will be meals I love again. Note: I’ve also tried Blue Apron which is a tiny bit cheaper, and I love that too. I have subscriptions with both so I can order from whichever menu looks better to me that week.
