I’ll be the first one to admit it, I never understood the function of a turtleneck sweater until I moved to New York City. Growing up in Hawaii, I always wrote them off as hot, bulky, and most of all itchy. But alas, when it’s 30 degrees outside and you want something that’s going to double as both a sweater and scarf then it’s turtlenecks to the rescue. On the agenda today was class downtown, then I decided to walk back to explore my neighborhood. Especially in NYC, there’s so much you can miss by just taking cabs and the subway, so I decided I’d take the city by foot and I’m so glad I did. I found out that there’s a Soul Cycle not even a block from me (yay), a grilled cheese shop next door, and the best massage place (they have a special right now for $39 for 60 minutes — not sure how that’s possible but I’m not complaining). I’m so excited for the weather to supposedly get a little warmer this weekend, but until then you can find me in my turtleneck!
