It’s no secret that my go-to hue is black. When I’ve got absolutely no time to piece together an outfit in the morning, chances are that I’ll throw on jeans, a black sweater, and black boots. It’s just easy for me. Also I must say that I’m ridiculously accident prone and somehow manage to spill everything on myself all the time, so wearing all black is kind of like spill protection if you ask me!
But I’ve been trying to make an effort to mix is up this winter by adding on a statement coat, scarf, or bag to my monochrome ensembles and this coat was calling my name in the store. It’s a herringbone print that’s a little lighter than it looks in the photos, and I love the way it pairs with almost everything. I’ve worn it with more casual looks like jeans and sneakers, and more dressy looks like this one.
This week marks my second week back and I’m already scheming ways to escape to warmer weather! With spring break coming up in March, I’m officially taking all the suggestions I can get for fun vacation (and most importantly warm) destinations. If you have any tips, let me know in the comments!
